For Liam Davis, racing has always been part of life.
Growing up around racing, he spent years watching, learning, and dreaming about the day he'd finally get behind the wheel himself. This season, that dream became a reality as Liam began competing in the Street Stock division.
While many racers spend years preparing for their first season, nothing quite compares to finally strapping into a race car and taking the green flag for the first time.
"This year is my first year racing. I have grown up around racing my whole life and now I've gotten the opportunity to finally get in a car."
A Strong Start to His Racing Career
Starting a racing career comes with a steep learning curve. New tracks, new competition, and learning how to race wheel-to-wheel can be challenging for any driver.
But Liam wasted little time proving he belongs on the track.
One of the biggest highlights of his young racing career came on just his third night of competition.
After starting seventh in the feature event, Liam worked his way through the field and crossed the finish line in second place.
For a first-year driver, that's the kind of performance that gets people talking.
